Her Haven Project
Our Her Haven Project is a student led initiative dedicated to bringing comfort and positivity to children and teens receiving cancer treatment. Through personalized comfort kits, we provide age appropriate activities and comforting items to help make the hospital stays a little easier. Our website shares our mission, GoFundMe, fundraising progress , and the impact we are making on pediatric cancer patients.

Our Story
Her Haven Project was founded by Cecelia Mancuso and Zein Kawakibi with the goal of bringing comfort, joy, and a sense of normalcy to girls receiving cancer treatment. As students and close friends, we both care deeply about helping others and wanted to create something that would have a meaningful impact beyond our own school and community. Through thoughtfully made care baskets filled with activities, self care, and small comfort items, we hope to make difficult hospital days feel a little brighter. Her Haven Project is our way of turning compassion into action to someone who may need it! :)
Each Her Haven basket is carefully put together with comfort and joy in mind. As girls ourselves, we wanted these baskets to feel personal and include things we would actually be excited to receive. We think about the little things and also hope every basket is a reminder that someone is thinking of her and cheering her on!
